Use of Hot Water in Naturopathy

Water is the most essential compnent of our body which makes around 70% of an adult and 80% of an infant body mass. According to philosophy of Naturopathy, whole universe as well as human body is composed of five elements i.e. Akash (Space), Vayu (Air), Agni (Fire), Jala (Water) and Prithvi (earth). This water is eliminated from body by various means like sweat, urine, expired air, etc. and has to be refilled by water intake. If a person consumes 4-5% less water than recommended, it can decrease his physical and mental perfromance by up to 20-30%. Water taken even at normal temperature is very good for health but it is supposed that it should be closer to body termperature so that, it could perform its physiological functions in a better way.
